Teacher Resources

Purpose of the Webquest

The purpose of the webquest is to offer the students the opportunity to use the internet for interactive learning. When learning about Shakespeare, students will be able to access several resources that will enhance their Shakespeare learning. This webquest is intended to the 5th and 6th grades. The questions asked in the workbook are meant to allow the students to think about the plays rather than tell them what to think through leading questions.

The Webquest Unit

Your students will be completing a workbook on this webquest. Be sure to allow them to use their artistic abilities to decorate the cover and backside of the pages with a variety of art media. In your classroom, make a bulletin board in which the students may post their video responses and comments. Read a Shakespeare play as a class and then have the students do the same individually with your pre-selected choices. In addition to this webquest, there are additional resources listed below that offer the workbook files, sample tests, other ideas including recipes, and other related projects.
